Prince William Plans to Join COP30 Climate Summit in Brazil
The Prince of Wales is scheduled to attend the COP30 climate summit in Brazil next month, as announced by the royal household.
Prince William and King Charles appeared together on Thursday evening at a event ahead of the climate summit, which is set to be held in the Amazonian city of Belem.
The royal pair were participating in the Natural History Museum reception, marking an unusual joint appearance at a environmental conference preliminary meeting arranged together with the UK government.
Climate Leadership Dedication
King Charles has been a consistent supporter of environmental conservation - and Prince William has inherited the mission, with his own environmental prize initiative, which will be hosted in Rio preceding the UN meeting.
Palace insiders have characterized William's involvement at the next COP as taking on an significant responsibility in "environmental negotiations".
Previous Activities
The King and Prince of Wales, making a joint entrance in the royal vehicle, were greeted guests including conservation experts, scientists, environmental activists, diplomats and government officials.
This participation featured addresses in concert with French leader Macron of the French Republic and other international figures at the Blue Economy and Finance Forum in Monaco in recent months.

The climate conference will dovetail with the William's personal Earthshot environmental awards, which will finish in Rio de Janeiro the day before he participates in the climate conference on November 6th.
