In a defensive struggle this weekend, the Broncos clinched a close victory over the struggling New York Jets. Signal-caller Bo Nix connected on a first-quarter scoring strike and kicker Wil Lutz kicked the late decisive three-pointer to secure the hard-fought win.

Defensive Display Seals Game

Despite registering nine sacks versus Jets quarterback Justin Fields, the Broncos were behind 11-10 following giving up a safety in the third quarter. Remarkably, the Jets could only produce just 82 total net yards throughout the contest.

Nix, who completed 19 of 30 attempts for 174 yards, led a critical 12-play, 65-yard drive that culminated in Lutz's short kick with approximately five minutes remaining.

Record Struggles for Jets Offense

In spite of their horrendous offensive display, the Jets still had the ball with a opportunity to score a possible victory. But Fields was tackled on fourth-and-eight from the Denver 44 when coach Aaron Glenn opted to attempt the conversion rather than sending out specialist Nick Folk for a long field-goal attempt.
